Posing As A Veteran In Indiana Could Soon Be Illegal – Guardian Of Valor

Indianapolis, Indiana – Posing as a service member in Indiana could soon be illegal. A few years ago we received a video from a former Soldier, he was calling out a fake in a local mall. This video can be seen here – Stolen Valor Oxford Mall
A state rep from Indiana, Chuck Moseley, observed this incident and presented a bill (House Bill 187) which passed the house with a vote of 95-0. Under this law anyone that tries to gain a tangible benefit while falsely claiming to be a service member, or to be a recipient of certain awards would be breaking the law. Indiana would make the 7th state since the video was published to push new legislation making it a crime to pose as a military member.
It now goes to the Senate. We will keep you updated on the outcome of this legislation.
