Russell Johnson 1924-2014 Russell David Johnson, best known for his portrayal of Professor Roy Hinkley on Gilligan’s Island passed today at the age of 89. A little known fact about Russell, is he was also a WWII Veteran. After high school, during World War II, Johnson joined the United States Army Air Forces as an aviation cadet and was commissioned as a second lieutenant. He flew 44 combat missions as a bombardier in B-24 Liberator bombers. Giles P. Carnes Tewksbury Township, New Jersey –   Tewksbury Police initiated a traffic stop on Giles P. Carnes of Bethlehem, P.A.  During the traffic stop, officers found that Giles had a warrant out of Bethlehem for retail theft. Concord, New Hampshire – In what could be the first sentencing under the Stolen Valor law of 2013,  A New Hampshire man could face more than 30 years in prison after pleading guilty to bank fraud, making false statements on nine loan applications, and a charge of Stolen Valor.
