My husband doesn’t have a band on his kevlar helmet and he is Army.His helmet band has been hanging from my rearview mirror for several years, I hang my sunglasses on it.I am not trying to be a smarta@@ I noticed your comment so I went and looked at is helmet is all. Maybe there are other branches that don’t wear them, not just Marines.

That is a shot from a soldier in 25th ID 2-27 Infantry Wolfhounds Battalion Recon Plt. Taken by a SPC Lobins. It was taken in Afghanistan between 04-05. The guy in the shot is a ANA Soldier, not an Enemy combatant. it is one of the most over used and stolen shots seen in a long time.
That’s a Marine’s rifle and helmet. You can tell because Marines don’t wear helmet bands on their Kevlar. Can’t believe anything this guys says.
