Christina Chrissy Axtman Lies About Killing Female Bomber And Bronze Star

We were sent an article from the Coeur d’Alene, Idaho Press paper from November 10th 2013. In this article they interviewed what they believed to be an Iraqi War Veteran, and Wounded Warrior, Christina “Chrissy” Axtman.

As I began to read the story, red flags started flying. The person that emailed me said that Christina was telling everyone her story, and how she had earned the Bronze Star for Valor while deployed with the 173rd Airborne to Iraq in 2007. Notice the paper calls it a Division not a Brigade, although they operate as a Division they are not. I am not sure if this was her statement or just a mistake by the editor.

Not only that, but according to the 173rd’s Deployment history, in 2006 the Brigade was notified for a second tour of duty in Iraq from 2007 to 2008, but its deployment plan was changed to Afghanistan in February 2007 when the Pentagon announced that it would relieve the 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 10th Mountain Division along with the 4th Brigade Combat Team, 82nd Airborne Division. In the spring of 2007, the 173rd again deployed to Afghanistan, as Task Force Bayonet, in support of Operation Enduring Freedom (OEF 07–09). So the 173rd was not even in Iraq for the time frame she claims she was with them.

Operation Iraqi Freedom Iraq 2003–2004
Operation Enduring Freedom Afghanistan 2005–2006
Operation Enduring Freedom Afghanistan 2007–2008
Operation Enduring Freedom Afghanistan 2009–2010

This is just an excerpt of the deployments, but as you can see, not in Iraq in 07.

Below is the article as it appeared on November 10th 2013, one day before Veterans day. Also note, that the paper began getting questions from Veterans because her story did not add up, and they printed another article on the 17th. In this article they contacted the National Guard unit she was originally assigned to, they said she was put out of basic because of an injury. They asked Christina and she stuck to her original story, claiming she went back and finished basic and went Active Duty.

So as you can see above she claims she worked tower guard at Taji, well according to the historical records of Camp Taji, the 756th Transportation Company pulled this duty, along with the 1st Cav. The 1st Cavalry Division was in control of the base during the time she claims. see quote below.

September 2006 to September 2007. 115 FA of the Tennessee Army National Guard operated from Bldg. 55 providing gun truck security to supply convoys throughout the region. Also in 2007, The 756th Transportation Company (Petroleum, Oils, and Lubricants), while stationed at Camp Taji, Iraq, in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom 05–07, successfully delivered millions of gallons of class IIIB (bulk petroleum) and transported fuel over 200,000 miles throughout the Multinational Division-Baghdad sector. This was possible because of the skills the 756th developed in theater that allowed the unit to transform organically to react to opposing forces. Included in the delivery of Petroleum the soldiers of the 756th aided in Security of the FOB (Forward Operating Base on tower patrol as well as dinning facility security.)

The 173rd left Iraq in 2006, and when they returned to Italy they were transformed into the 173rd Airborne Brigade Combat Team.

She also claims that her car accident occurred because she was used to driving a Humvee in Iraq. She said “Instead of braking, she hit the clutch, because she was used to driving Humvee’s”. When did Humvee’s become straight drive vehicles?

Here is the next part of the article, where she claims to have been shot and her NCOIC killed beside her in an IED.

Capture11 Its one thing to lie about serving, but to me its a whole new ball game when you begin to tell lies about other Soldier’s perishing. And I am also wondering how the bullet “hit beneath her vest, just inches from her heart”. The vest is specifically made to protect the vital organs, especially the heart, hence the plates in front and back. So the bullet had to have penetrated the plates, or traveled some weird path up her vest. Not to mention she would have gotten a Purple Heart for being shot by the enemy.

Below is the article printed on the 17th of November, soon after the paper began getting a lot of questions from Veterans because the article seemed so far-fetched. Even after this evidence she still stuck to her story.

Capture3

Capture4

So we decide to go see if Axtman was still sticking by her story after this was published, here is what we found on her Facebook page.

Below she tries to say the paper did not dig deep enough, that she did get released from basic due to an injury, but that she went back and joined Active duty.

Capture1

Below is her “Bronze Star”, I wonder where she bought this? Maybe at clothing sales when she married another Soldier?  She claims that because the birth certificate of her children shows they were born elsewhere like Fort Riley and Italy, this proves she served. But this is only because she Married a service member, whom I won’t name here.

Capture-1

(One of our fans sent us the link to where this photo came from, seems she snagged it off of wikipedia. You can see the original photo here: Bronze Star Medal Used On Her Facebook Thanks John for finding this)

So we sent out requests to several of our contacts within the Military to make sure she truly had not served beyond a few weeks in basic. Here was the response we received via our request to the Active Duty side of the house:

response

So Christina, this is the Official response from Department of the Army, this would include any Delayed Entry Programs and Medical Holdover time. But let me guess they are wrong as well because your records and deployment are Top Secret and no one can access them? I mean that is the usual response I get. But I can assure you, your Bronze Star is just as fake as your deployment to Iraq with “The Herd”.

And according to the Idaho National Guard, she was injured in a training accident in Basic training, and they also have no record of her deploying.

1. You never finished Basic Training, you were discharged due to a training injury.

2. You never deployed anywhere, you may have been to Italy , thanks to your ex-husband who did serve.

3. You did not earn a Bronze Star w/Valor for saving anyone in Iraq.

4. You were NOT shot in the chest while engaging the enemy!

5. You did not have your SGT die in an IED strike.

6. You did not wreck your vehicle because you thought you were driving a Humvee, Humvee’s only have two pedals.

This is not you being scrutinized as the paper said, we are calling you out. You are a liar, and a fake. You have dishonored those who have served in combat, and those who have lost their lives for this country.

Do what is right and come forward and tell the truth for once in your life. And before you go do something worse, remember it is a Federal Offense to forge or alter a DD214.

UPDATE:

After posting this article, several people found she worked at the MotherLode Bistro and began posting our article on the page. They responded and informed everyone that they fired Christina soon after the article was posted as they knew she was lying.  Here is the statement they made, and we are re-posting with permission.

bistro

Thanks to the Bistro, this shows that lying about service does have consequences. Check out the Bistro’s page here – MotherLode Bistro

UPDATE: 20140415

As we have said in the past, Stolen Valor is usually a sign that other crimes have or are being committed. Seems Christina was recently arrested and charged with a felony for writing checks on a closed account.

    • I am a 100% Disabled Vietnam Vet,that did serve with the HERD as a Medic.Shame on this stupid bitch for posing, and claiming to be something there not!!!!Its a slap for those that did serve, and for those Brothers and Sisters not with us today!!!!!

      • It isn’t a slap to anyone! Stop trying to make out like these people are harming us. We served our time and we know this crap goes on in everyday life. Stolen Valor is just away of bringing some sort of discredit to these people and an attempt to punish them with a fine and a 6 month to 1 year prison sentence depending on how much money they received in regards to their comments or if they used a Medal of Honor to exempt themselves from paying taxes in states that authorize that, such as Virginia. If they only lie about having the medals and never use it to get employment or fraud the government, then just lying is protected by the First Amendment. (sort Of). The people they are really out to get are the ones like the 70 year old guy, that obtained over 7 million dollars in government contracts. He got 7 years in prison. Another Navy guy collected 66 million dollars in Government contracts, but left and went to Australia before they could catch him. The contracts were canceled, supposedly. None of these Frauds paid enough to cover the 150 million dollar funds set aside to promote this program. Not to say how much time and money was spent from 2005 until 2012 to write, vote on, and establish the program to then Strike it down in 2012 as Unconstitutional. They decided that just wearing a military medal was a Freedom of Speech. They made changes, saying that there has to be some form of…” fraudulently wearing a military medal to obtain money, employment, property or other tangible benefit will continue to be prohibited under the revised subsection (b). So, now it’s back in 2013 without the old section (b) which made it a crime to wear or verbally or in writing make claim to a military award. You now have to be using these statements or awards to further yourself fraudulently as above. So, the Government is just protecting the validity of these awards. Nothing is degrading or disgraceful to the individuals who speak about and wear these awards legitimately. It is never a slap in the face, to us. I am proud of my service and nothing anyone can do or say to belittle that or the awards I received, earned and achieved. So, let the Stolen Valor go after the Big Guys who can support the cost of the program. These poor sick people who can’t even afford to keep their house, is like busting the neighborhood kid, who never can lead the police to the Drug Cartel. But, at least they send them to he Halfway House somewhere to get some help, hoping they will change. 🙂

        • I have no problem with zero tolerance. Deciding who is a big poser versus little poser??? C’mon man. You knock down the 50 m targets with just as much zeal as the 300 m.

          • Knocking down 50m targets and 300m targets don’t cost me anymore money, plus I get a bigger reward for knocking them all down. If this little poser gets prosecuted, it will cost the taxpayers a whole lot more money than she will ever pay back to the system. Have you ever told just a little white lie about your stellar career or your life? So, go ahead turn yourself in! Zero Tolerance.

          • Yes Marty, it’s a crime to impersonate a cop, or a doctor or a Lawyer, or any Licensed personnel! Mute Point here! What part of my comment are you replying? My point is simply as I said, It isn’t a Slap in the face to anyone, They only hurt themselves. It doesn’t make me ill over someone who wants to exaggerate their career or be an imposter! These people who keep saying “it’s a slap in the face to us who served and those who….. died fighting”, are like making these jerks feel like they really are someone! It’s just fuel to their fire! Do they really believe, people are just sitting around feeling ill, depressed and miserable because someone is pretending to be someone they aren’t. Not me, I’m still proud and will be, even after I am buried! Don’t count on me rolling over in my grave and saying, “Well, that little imposer has just ruined everything I ever stood far, I am now just a poor, non honorable dust pile, because that Christina poser has ruined it for the whole US Military.” Crap, you can go all over the world and ask millions of people who Christina is and they wouldn’t have any idea! The only reason I keep remembering her name is because of this website. I like replying to all of these comments, when I feel like just passing some late night time! Thanks for the comment Marty! I’m not getting back to you though because, I am impersonating anyone. Just giving my opinion, and as we know, everyone has one of those sometime in their life! ARMY/NAVY game coming up! Go ARMY! PROUD TRADITION! You think those cadets will be worrying about Christina whooooooooooo?

        • Ok, here are my thoughts folks- I am retired Military- U.S. Army 24 years. I thank my God each and every day that I not meet one of these idiots who claim to be service members and were not- I even go as far as carrying extra cash in the event I need to bail myself out of jail for taking his / her head off! Mr. Meadows, I will apologize to you up front- your thoughts do not reflect those thoughts of and American male who served his Nation on active duty- or in any other capacity. You do not sound like a person who wore his uniform with any sort of pride either! That being said, thank you for your service, if you did indeed serve, but hear this- you are so far off and wrong as the day is long. We have service members who are risking all right now in the large sand box. We have service members who travel each and every day- honest to goodness – real service members. They also walk thru our airports and some folks enjoy talking with them to thank them for their service- that said, a poser is being thanked for service in which he / she never served!?

Your writing is bla, bla and bla. Please Sir, next time you decide to write, make your point- if indeed you have one?!
Really, we are truly expressing our thoughts and feelings with regard to a topic which many have been killed for- the military is not a job, it happens to be a way of life! You stated ” we served our time”, how much time did you serve and with whom did you serve?

Finally Sir. we all have our freedoms as good American people, but freedom is not free. Hear this Sir- these posers should be advised- there are real service members out there who take their service to our great Nation very seriously indeed- we did give our Nation a blank check when we raised our right hand to serve. Some have paid with their lives while serving out great Nation- I’m certain a poser is not thinking of them much!

          You have a nice day!

          HOOAH!

          Regards

          • Terms of Use for Guardian of Valor! ……the Content is not obscene, libellous, defamatory, hateful or racially bigoted, does not violate the privacy or publicity rights of any third party and is not otherwise unlawful;

            Bigsarge1,
Have you been following my comments from the beginning? I honestly believe you need to re-read all that you wrote about:

“…”We have service members who are risking all right now in the large sand box. We have service members who travel each and every day- honest to goodness – real service members. They also walk thru our airports and some folks enjoy talking with them to thank them for their service-….”

I have thanked many young and older service members for their service in “various walks of life”. Never has anyone said, “Thanks, but it was for naught, because there are posers out there, that have slapped me in the face; its a disgrace to the whole US MILITARY; I think I will just go home sit on Guardian Valor and break all of their TERMS OF USE and just make myself miserable over it”.

I RESPECT those people. I RESPECT your OPINION, because, as the “Ole Saying”goes, “…everyone has one.” I wore my uniform proudly, I served my country proudly, and I am retired, still serving! My awards, I earned them proudly. When my friends and family come over, they don’t say, “yeah, I heard everyone got one of those for just going to Vietnam.” No they say, “Wow, what did you do to get that one?” Then I say, “Well, I received that one for serving in the US ARMY in Vietnam, it’s the Vietnamese Service ribbon.” Then they say, oh you can’t talk about it, or you will have to kill me?” That’s the common joke when you had some sort of CLEARANCE. Don’t get me wrong, I am not an Officer, I was enlisted, so you don’t have to respect that and call me SIR. I am from down south, but, down here we only say, Sir to those who are older than us, “Sir!”.

I do not have the Authority to go out and cause harm to someone who violates our society’s rules. I would be subjected to those same rules. Just as a reminder, if you plan on going over to Idaho to slap her head off, they don’t set bails, until you have been incarcerated for 48 hrs. I’m not sure about Iowa’s laws, but you can check those out. 🙂

Also, with your comments and Apology already, I will accept that, “you are who you are.” We have a choice to comment on what we desire, however we desire, as long as it is within the Terms of Use. I won’t apologize, because your beliefs are really the same as mine, you just probably need to follow up and re-read what you wrote and what I wrote. I have BULLIED no one. I just pointed out the little respect they have for the Terms of Use, which they agreed to abide by. Also you made your comment to me about Bullying after someone stated, “…anyone can get a Bronze Star if you are a PSG or above.” Maybe you should go back and read the comments, I wrote. Of course, the names and comments to me are just that opinions. I don’t come back on here to “bla, bla and bla”. I come back on here to try to influence people to respect, this site, themselves and especially our Awards, Medals and Honors. That’s why Stolen Valor was written. Also, I don’t condone what any poser does, I just forgive and forget.

“And whenever you stand praying, if you have anything against anyone, forgive him and let it drop (leave it. let it go), in order that your Father Who is in heaven may also forgive you your (own) failings and shortcomings and let them drop. But if you do not forgive, neither will your Father in heaven forgive your failings and shortcomings.” Mark 11: 25-26

Maybe, you just misread or rushed into your comments, because most of us Retirees have the same view, maybe at just a little different angle! I don’t try to police this site, I just again, try to make people think and Research things, before they make false accusations or obscene/vulgar/libelous or violent threats! I heard about the guy who was arrested for threatening to go out and shoot a bunch of children. Just saying! You see, I respect everyone that makes comments here and I try to look out for them! After all, that’s what we do, try to take care of each other. We are a special group and My Point is: We aren’t degraded, slapped in the face, nor is the Military degraded or belittled. We still have the finest fighting forces around and until we have to turn our palms up to salute and get on our knees to some other sovereign power, Nothing will change my mind or make me feel miserable about my Meritorious Career in The United States Army!

Only a pleasure to keep on serving,

            Don Wayne Meadows.

  1. If she’s pedaling this story, odds are she’s gotten benefits for it and that’s Stolen Valor. If she was going to the VA for treatment or a disability hearing, then she’s scamming the VA as well.

    • Not necessarily. She could be seeking benefits due to her injury in basic. Yeah, I know, it’s a stretch… but at the same time, it’s not illegal for her to do so.

      • I had a friend that was injured in basic (twisted knee – which was a pre-existing high school soccer injury) and because she spent 425 days “on duty” while she healed, she receives VA benefits and disability (20%). It angers me that she receives these benefits when she never completed AIT and was awarded an MOS. But because of her time on orders she qualifies.

    • @ Mr. Sands- thank you for your service Sir. It seems you and I are on board with this poser issue- but I have learned from the day I retired that retired guys and gals do think and feel alike. It seems if you actually lived the military life style, you tend to take it more seriously than having only served a few years!

      • @ SGM Knight- I agree with you hole heartedly on the zero tolerance concept! We, as service members (Ret.), still have an obligation to check our own- my first MOS was 11B- for those of you who don’t know, that’s Infantry. We had a set of general orders we lived by; our first general order reads as follows- I will guard my post, and everything within the limits of my post until I’m properly relived! This day and age, our post seems to be our very pride, integrity and the honor we have all earned in serving a lifetime in uniform- I will protect that honor until my God takes me home! Zero tolerance is our watch phrase and we need to actively enforce!

  2. Another liar bite the dust, Everyone can tell stories, they need to remember that those who served with honor, always will respect the services. Making history wont make you a hero, will make a fool out of you, because eventually your lies will come forward.

    • I know the the person that runs the dfac on base in vicenza…talked to them and never heard of her…if she was even remotely attached ti 173rd as a cook she would have spent some time working there..

  3. Wow. If you were in and got discharged because of an injury, NO ONE will think less of you, even if it was in boot camp that you were injured. The moment you say you were in a combat zone, being assigned to a sentry post because of how well you shot, I know that is complete BS. Once you are in the military, you WILL pull sentry duty regardless of how well you shoot. EVERYONE pulls some kind of watch on EVERY military post.

  4. Every time one of these posers tell a lie about their heroics, I think about two Soldiers with whom I served with in Iraq; COL Stephen Scott & MAJ Stuart Wolfer, KIA 6 April 2008, Baghdad, Iraq. These pathetic people should be forced to go face to face with the families of the fallen and grievously wounded and explain why they think it is okay to make false claims of service.

    • Part of their sentence/probation should include to arrange a conference. Explaining just what you said. In this conference the invited guests will include: Active duty Military, Reserve/NG personnel, Disabled Vets, and family members of Active Duty personnel and KIA/Disabled Vets.

  5. I think that if they want to claim they have been deployed and experienced all of tragedies they have,we should send them out on the next plane. If they do come back then they would stop lying. I am a civilian but have so much military in my family that this just pisses me off that they think they can take credit for what ou veterans have done. There should be some harsh punishment for these frauds. I hope they burn in hell. The REAL brave men and women that have defended us deserve the credit not anyone else.Thank you to everyone who calls out these idiots who are to chicken to actually serve their country.

  6. Wether you serve hot food, pushing paper, listening to the radio on a twelve hour shift, or on the front lines everything everybody does when you serve is important to maintain a well oiled machine. To make sure everybody comes home. To all those who have served in any capacity be proud of what you did and for some still doing! No need to lie about what you did while you served hold your head high and realize that you did the most important thing you could your job.

  7. “Cool story ho!!” Now, since you’re so good of a cook and you love it so much…. “Get back in the kitchen and and make me a friggin’ sammwich!!!”

  8. “I shouldn’t be here!!!” …posting about your lying ass!!!!!
    “I shouldn’t be here!!!” …No really, you shouldn’t!!!
“I shouldn’t be here!!!” …You should be in the kitchen!!!
“I shouldn’t be here!!!” …You should be raising your kids without having to endure your damned lies!!!

  9. So sad! As a navy veteran, she makes things look bad for women veterans. We have a hard enough time with things, people like her make it worse! If she likes the stories so well, send these posers over and really let them fight! Right on the front line! I’m a Cold War vet, never served in combat, but am proud of my service none the less, even the smallest job here in the us is an honorable job. No need to brag things up. I see a few at our va hosp as well, that their stories seem a tad stretched. Especially one female who claims some stories that just don’t click. But I think the va finally caught on because she lost her 100% disability 2 months after she got it and they made her pay it back.

    • That’s awesome they made her pay it back! I see people with 100% working the same job I’m working which requires a PT test every year, and lots of physical exertion. So I often wonder how they get 100% when they are in excellent physical condition!

      • @ Holly- I agree with every word you wrote and want to thank you for your service- does not matter that you didn’t see combat. Not everyone did. in the end Ma’am, did you know that you are actually one of our Nations elite? you are a very proud and honorable member of the 1% family. This family has only those members who actually had enough heart and loved our country enough to put it all on the line- that’s where the blank check concept comes in. So, that being said, I want to thank all of you Veterans and especially our retirees who served a lifetime to maintain those freedoms in which we realize and love! God bless America! for those of you who are ” Cold War ” veterans- having served between 1945 and 1991, there is a special certificate in which you earned waiting for you over there at Fort Knox. Yes, its called the ” Cold War ” certificate. just download SF 180, fill it out and send it along with a copy of your DD 214 to Fort Knox to claim your certificate- you earned it so be proud of it!

  10. I earn my bronze star with valor in iraq. In actual combat. I can tell you with all honesty i may not know where the medal and case maybe at this time but i know it doesnt look like that. Is it really that hard to do the right thing? Why is it that these frauds tryvto take advantage when all of us true vets are low key about everythong

  11. Whatta POS!! Wonder how many benefits and generosities she has taken advantage of spreading her web of lies??

Keep up the Great Work Y’all!!

  12. With all the soldiers re-deploying these days, and ex-service personnel out and about you have to be really “gutsy” to try to bee a Military Fraud. WE have found that the law is not on our side, but the citizenry is.

  13. Wow I have only seen one dirt bag that had lied in my life I am sure I will see another but holy cow can you say her life is a soup sandwich she has been brought to a public eye I hope she has a back up plan because she is ruined. Suck for her
Thanks for all my battle buddies who really were deployed and but next to me!!

  14. Whoa! WTF! I actually ws stationed at Camp Taji, in 08-09, but still, so this REALLY pissed me off!!!! How dare she say this !!!! I’m offended! I’m glad you caught her lying and called her out on it. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

  15. Confused@ Actually for the majority of Cooks deployed to Iraq or Afghanistan guard duty on the front gate and convoy duty riding up and down the roads was common fare in Iraq and Afghanistan. There are plenty of holes in her story along with outright fabrications but she is well schooled by someone in the activity common to her former MOS. Of course it is clear to anyone who has ever driven a HUMVEE that she has never been behind the wheel because there aren’t any military straight drive HUMVEE’s that I am aware of anyway and I have driven one or two in my time. Taji had a pretty extensive gate system from my recollection with about a quarter mile drive through HESCO barriers before you actually went through a gate.

  16. i keep hoping stolen valor will end, but unfortunately i think only the surface of this problem has been scratched.

as a side note, everybody knows that unless you are an e8 or higher or an o3 or higher, you don’t get a bronze star. you get arcoms lol i kid i kid (not really)

  17. I was stationed at camp taji Iraq from nov 5th 2005 to oct.2006 as a gunner for C 1/377 FA and yes i believe it was 115 FA that replaced us in late Sept 06 and if she is claiming to have been even a part of a group u would know that we did away with HUMVEES when we got there and only drove up armored LMTVs and ASVs and only did convoy security at night and never during day light operations and we taught the 115 those operations and never to do them during the day also in her story she talks about a heat sensored IED which anyone who has been there knows that they are called EFP not IED and it wouldnt have flipped her HUMVEE it would have punshed a hole straight through it and if it killed her SGT. it would have killed her as well this story makes me sick and to confirmed the north gate like Kerry said has about a 1/4 mile of road to get to the front gates to taji and the south gate had Hesco barriers not only leading to the gate met with a pallidon and two gunner towers but also barriers u had to weave through on the bridge leading just out side the gate to head north or u jonted to the left of the bridge to go south towards bagdad and ive never heard of the red zone before just the green zone there in bagdad this story makes me sick and discusted but ty to all the REALLY served there and my prayers go out to all my brothers and sisters that never made it home
Spc. Russell Williams Jr. Army Retired

  18. I am a disabled vet who served in Iraq and people who do this make me sick. I, along with countless others have true horror stories, but I. Have yet to see true veteran giving all the details to a local paper. We may talk of the days to days of life over there, but the events that changed our lives due to killings or deaths we do not usually share with anyone, except maybe the guys that were there with me. And even then it is not an every day conversation. It might be one day a year when we remember our buddies no longer with us and have quite a few beers. I really wish I was able to confront all of these wannabe “heroes”. They should know that claiming to be a Hero is the last thing we would do…God Bless all of you for your hard work and diligence bringing these posers out for all to see!

  19. As an old member with the “herd” back in the day (68-69) any b/s coming from anyone who never experienced actual combat, is a pain in the azz for telling WAR STORIES. Young lady, spinning a tale about being WOUNDED usually bites anyone in the azz for not using their head. Some scenes of combat can create wounds without blood and count yourself EXCEPTIONALLY LUCKY regardless of the lies. You have NO CLUE what you have done to yourself. You were trying to envision yourself as someone worthy of sympathy, well you have succeeded. I feel sorry that life has dealt you a hand that you are clueless to play. Consider yourself very very fortunate that the horrific memories you wanted for yourself were wrongfully dealt to a good man in Iraq who will never see his wife and kids again.

Now, get down to your local place of worship and count your blessings.

  20. Anyone can get a Bronze Star Medal. Just takes a stop at the post clothing and sales or even some army surplus stores. Why not show the orders or certificate w/ orders number. That will be undisputed proof, showing the Colonel (O-6) who signed the order and the unit she was in then matching it with the unit’s records. The orders will also say what she got it for (DA FORM 648).

  21. Also, she said she said she got it with valor but her picture doesn’t show a “V” device. That shows she has absolutely no idea what she is talking about. And is now really making me upset since i now have undisputed proof! And if she says thats because it was upside down, that is BS because who would not show that in the picture. Thats the most important part of the award. Anyone can get a bronze star these days. You only have to be a PSG or Higher.

    • If the “V” device was attached, you’d see the backing of it on the cloth. Plus, what dumbass goes and takes apart their medal. I guess she was “field stripping” it in under 30 seconds.

    • Don’t belittle the Awards. Not anyone can get a Bronze Star. In someway those individuals earned the Award. If the V device is with it, they didn’t get it just because they were a PSG or Higher. This is what this whole program is about, maintaining the validity of the Medals and Badges. Anyone who belittles the awards are just as guilty as someone who claims to have earned one. It’s just like saying, well everyone gets a Service Ribbon. Yeah, well if you served, you deserve and earned that Service Ribbon. There is nothing wrong with Meritoriously earning an Award or Medal. I had many friends, I served with, that didn’t get a Bronze Star, some got MSM’s instead. It’s an achievement and you can be proud of that achievement and your service to the military. I guess, since you are an SFC, that you have a Bronze Star, that anyone like you can get these days. So, you are saying you didn’t go anything for it, they just gave it to you. Your letter awarding you the Bronze Star says, “SFC K is a PSG or Above, so he is entitled to receive this Bronze Star.” At least this crazy lady had sense enough to make up a decent story about how she got her Bronze Star with Valor. She didn’t say, “Well I was a PSF or higher, that’s why I received my Bronze Star. 🙂 Go read the “Stolen Valor Act “. SFC K!

    • Don Meadows- the more I read your writing the more I wonder if you were ever a soldier at all- you sure seem to be well read- I’ll give you that, but the actual representation you propose in your way of bullying our brother and sister service members is beyond me. You seem to be defending a poser in which most certainly fails my smell test. I ask you again Sir, how long did you serve? what was your final rank? this young lady does not deserve to breath the same air as we are breathing. Frankly speaking, our energy spent in protecting our honorable service in calling out these posers is what is required of us!

  22. Absolutely dispicable what this douche lied about and got away with,,,great job STOLEN VALOR staying on her trail of lies and calling her out,,,God Bless you for all this you do hunting down these fakes,,,God Bless our TRUE,,,REAL Service Members and their families worldwide.

  23. “I shouldn’t be here” No, you should be at Arlington licking the boots of the Honor Guard and families who are burying the REAL HEROES!

  24. I am sorry, but it doesn’t f****** matter if Manual/Automatic Transmission, it doesn’t matter if Snow or no Snow, 102 or not…. Fact is, that she (and every single Person out there, who’s claiming Honor where’s no Honor to be found) is MOCKING EVERY SINGLE FALLEN SOLDIER and every single Soldier (Male/Female) who went Overseas, did their Job and came back alive. They all have Scars…mentally and physically and while the physical Scars will disappear, the mental/emotional Scars will stay for the Rest of their Lives. I don’t understand why People have the Urge to lie about being mentally hurt in hundreds of different ways, battling every day to forget, what’s buried in their Minds. Is it honorable to wake up, yelling, kicking, soaked in Sweat…not being able to function all Day cuz you couldn’t get enough sleep, caused by the Nightmares that haunt you?!…Is is sooo cool not to be able to control your Hands cuz they’re shaking so badly, your Anger and Anxiety getting the Best of you and before you’re getting real effective Help, Doctors all over the Place are just stuffing you up with Pills like there’s no Tomorrow?!…I don’t even want to mention the Back, Knee and Headaches you have to live with…Is it so funny, that you see, hear and feel the way you always been, but you can’t help it that you turn into a quiet, shy Person who rather pulls his/herself out of everything. Rather staying alone in a quiet Place, with no Interest of doing anything?! DOES A FREAKING PIECE OF METAL HEAL YOUR SOUL?! NO IT DOESN’T and I haven’t met a single REAL SOLDIER, who’s showing off His/Her Medals like a Show Dog…unless YOU ARE FAKE!!! Those Individuals whom made it into the Hall of Shame are mocking every single Soldier, their Loved Ones, Families and Friends. It breaks my Heart to see my Hub and my Friends (Males and Females!!) being hurt, struggling with themselves….and it raises my Anger toward all those Fake Individuals out there, who are claiming “TO BE” somebody… Stolen Valor is doing the most amazing Job with finding, researching and calling out those Dirtbags… and even when I’m just a Spouse, but they have all my Respect for what they do…..but it sure is sad, that this Page NEEDED to be founded and that those Guys have so much Work on their Tables… Thanx for everything you do for our Military!!!

    • She’s not mocking anyone. Mocking is a term used to shame us. She certainly isn’t shaming, hurting my life or making me ill, because of what she says or does. In fact, if someone hadn’t put the Stolen Valor page on my Facebook, I never would have heard about this woman. So carry on with your life and don’t get ill over such trivial matters. This probably doesn’t affect 1 percent of 1 percent of your life, if even that much. I am proud of the medals I have earned and proud of my military service. She has certainly not mocked me or my career. Please give credit where credit is due. It’s the Guardian of Valor website your are on, not Stolen Valor. Stolen Valor is simply an act passed by the government to defend the Validity of the Military Awards and Badge. You can wear any award or say you received any award and lie about military service and it’s ok by the First Amendment. Here are some earlier comments on the Stolen Valor Act: Please go read the act itself. You can google it or in my case Bing it!

It isn’t a slap to anyone! I am proud of my service and there is nothing anyone can do or say to belittle that or the awards I received, earned and achieved. 🙂

So, you see It’s the people of this website who are doing the great work. Guardian of Valor. Of course, I am sure they understand that you meant to give them credit. Stolen Valor is an act of the government. Guardian of Valor are the people who developed and promoted this website. Rather they contribute to directly getting these people convicted or not, they are making it Public. They do a Great Job. This, of course, isn’t a Non Profit Organization, not to belittle the Great Work they Do!

Oh, Merry Christmas and may you have a prosperous New Year!

  25. I think a bronze star would need an O7 or above for approval, not an O6. People who show off their sheet are fakes, my wife and I keep our crap in the house in our “love me” case lol. She is a disgrace, thanks guys for your time doing this work. Much appreciated what you do!

  26. Wow…that’s crazy…Does she think service members don’t know how to read or don’t stray current with the news?..how dare she pretend to be someone she isn’t..boils my blood and to make up a story of her SGT getting killed is even worse..those of you that served know it isn’t even funny to mention a fellow soldier dying..I have been to more ramp ceremonies than I would have ever wanted..may she get justice served upon her in a quick and fierce manner…and trust me if your a poser don’t let me catch you…I will not be as nice as the stolen valor team…that is all.

    • Like I said, I’m just a Spouse, but I’m right there with you. I know Stolen Valor and a few other Pages are doing their best to uncover those Posers. But I wish, that our Gov would crack down so hard on them, that no other Lowlife waste of Skin would even just think about faking their Accomplishments.

  27. All people that lie about being in the military and have served overseas in a combat zone should be rounded up and made into a decoy battalion to serve as Human shields for the real heroes out there…if they make it out alive then we should consider them as heroes….

  28. Wow I am glad there are sites like this that call out these low lifes. I was with CJTF82 during that time. Jan 07 to April 08. I applaud all who dimed this price of crap out ATW!

  29. As she talks about being at Ft Riley we should all be focusing on the 5 Soldiers who where KIA this week in Afghanistan from the 1st CAB.

  30. I read the article on this young lady. As a retired military, reading the story from the beginning raised alot of red flags but you guys were all over it. But when I read the about the car accident that kind of thru up some red flags since I work in the law enforcement side, yes the accident did happen, but if you read the article from Marion County Record (Dec 08, 2010) it states in the paper that the children together crawled from the car and that the daughter received a injury to her leg. It is sad that people will go that low for what glory I don’t know. So the way I see it if she can’t tell the truth about her military service and car accident then I doubt it very much that her DD214 will show any different. (ORRIE)

    • The only reason why she was there was because she was a civilian dependent married to a real soldier. She then moved with him to Italy when he got order to PCS there. She never graduated basic training and never went to AIT so therefore never got to a permanent duty station.

  31. Well she isn’t even classified as a Veteran. Active Duty for training purposes only does not qualify you to be a Veteran. I am sure she will continue her life of lies and further charges will probably surface.

  32. How about we ask who this “SGT” that got killed in the “IED”…also did the gunner get hurt? Also normally a patrol does not leave the wire with TWO vehicles…I was in Baghdad in 05-06 at FOB Falcon…our sectors were southwest ” AL Bayaa, HI amil, and AL dora and supported Baler Xray… we did patrols and our orders were not to leave the Fob with no less then 3 Vehicles…I lost battle buddies to IEDs and for her to say some BS really makes me mad…WE all know she did not do what she said, so http://FTP... FEZ

  33. You missed another slip up by Axtman: “The metal in her body is slowly deteriorating her bones…’In 10 years I will probably be paralyzed or in a wheelchair…'”

What the hell? The metal that is used for surgical reconstruction is titanium. Among the many reasons titanium is used for surgical reconstruction is that it doesn’t react with the human body.

  34. As a partially disabled, retired Navy veteran, I laud and applaud those who expose the liars and frauds. About twelve years ago I had a guy try to convince me that he was shotgun on an APC on the Ho Chi Minh Trail in 1975 when an mine exploded under it and he suffered a “maiming” injury because of it. Little problem there. He claimed his division was shipped over in 1974. NOT, Combat troops were withdrawn by March 1973. Asked him about “Mr. Two Step”. He had no clue………. then claimed after nailed down on it that the explosion somehow damaged his memory of one of the deadliest snakes in S.E. Asia. NOT

Having done my share of time in the South China Sea, and even without being boots on the ground infantry or infantry support, it’s relatively easy to trip up the frauds.

  35. I don’t understand why everyone is so upset with this girl lying, what about the mother and bay she shot and killed?? That is who we need to be sorry for!!!

    • She didn’t kill anyone. She lied about everything. She was never permanent party or deployed because she never finished basic training. She was kicked out because she couldn’t complet it. She was at Ft. Riley and Italy because she was married to a real soldier who was stationed at those locations.

  36. After speaking to my husband who happened to be at Taji in ’07/’08 with 1/2 SCR out of Germany. He stated that the incident of the woman and baby with bomb never happened. That as pointed out the 173rd was not there at that time as well. We figure she is a wannabe that couldn’t make it so reads a lot of the books that have come out of that time period. In fact one of the guys in my husbands unit wrote one….you all have probably heard of it…STRYKER: The Siege of Sadr City. Anyway i digress just another fact ftpom a person that was there (not me). Have a good day you guys and keep up the good work. Put this was on the wall of shame for sure
